Who we are
We are Ajax Birding Co., a small bird sitting and boarding service for bird owners in Ajax and the surrounding Durham Region. This page explains what happens to the information you give us when you reach out. We have tried to write it the way we actually talk — no fine-print games.
What we collect
The only place we gather information is our contact form. When you fill it out, you may share:
- Your name — so we know who we are speaking with.
- Your email address — so we can write back.
- Your message — and the optional details you choose to add, like your phone number, the kind of bird you have, the service you are after, and how soon you need care.
That is it. We do not run accounts, we do not make you set a password, and we do not ask for anything we would not actually use to help you. The optional fields are exactly that — optional. Leave them blank if you would rather not share.
Why we collect it
One reason: to answer you. We use the details you send to reply to your boarding or sitting inquiry, work out the right care plan for your bird, and follow up if you decide to book. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or anything unrelated to the conversation you started.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to marketers. We are a bird care business, not a data broker, and your details are not a product to us. The only people who see what you send are the folks here who actually arrange and provide your bird's care.
How your message reaches us
Your form submission travels over a secure (HTTPS) connection and lands in our email inbox, where we read and respond to it. Like most small businesses, we rely on reputable email and hosting providers to deliver and store those messages; they process the data only so we can receive your note, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
We hold on to your inquiry for as long as it is useful — while we are talking, and for a reasonable stretch afterward in case you come back or your bird needs us again. We are not interested in keeping old messages forever. If your inquiry never turns into anything, we clear it out in the normal course of tidying up our inbox.
Removing your information
If you would like us to delete the information you have sent, just ask. Email info@ajaxbirdingco.ca and we will remove your details from our records. You are also welcome to ask us what we have on file for you — same address, same friendly answer.
Children
Our service is for bird owners arranging care, so our contact form is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle information ever changes, we will update this page and refresh the date at the top. The current version is always the one you are reading right now.
Questions
Privacy questions are welcome — we would rather you ask than wonder. Reach us any time at info@ajaxbirdingco.ca or by phone at (289) 212-8615.
